Supporting the Next Generation at Nebraska FFA Convention

The Nebraska Nursery & Landscape Association was proud to participate in the 2026 Nebraska State FFA Convention, connecting with students interested in careers in the green industry and recognizing outstanding achievements in horticulture and landscaping.

During the State FFA Awards Banquet, NNLA President Lee Olson presented two awards on behalf of the association:

• Landscape Installation: Hunter Swanson, West Point FFA
• Nursery Operations: Ava Hoffman, West Holt FFA

These awards recognize FFA members who have demonstrated exceptional knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience in the nursery and landscape industry through their Supervised Agricultural Experience programs.

Throughout the convention, Brian Monk, Joel Kayser, Sheila Schrader, Lee Olson, and Cindy Christensen helped at the NNLA exhibit booth, visiting with students, advisors, and attendees about careers in the green industry and the opportunities available through NNLA. They also handed out NNLA swag and shared information about the association, helping introduce the next generation to the many rewarding career paths within Nebraska's nursery and landscape industry.

recognize the future professionals who will help our industry grow.
