President’s Message - April 2026
Dear Members,
As we head into the busy spring season, I want to sincerely thank each of you for your continued support of and involvement in our Winter Conference. The time, energy, and resources our members dedicate each year are what make this event not only successful, but truly meaningful. Whether you attended educational sessions, sponsored the event, exhibited your products and services, volunteered, or presented as a speaker, your participation strengthens both our association and our industry.
The Winter Conference remains one of the most valuable opportunities we have to come together as professionals. The educational sessions help us stay current with best practices, emerging trends, and new innovations. Just as importantly, the conversations that happen in the hallways, between sessions, and around the tables are where ideas are exchanged and relationships are built. Seeing both long-time members and new participants engaged and investing in the future of Nebraska’s nursery and landscape industry is encouraging and energizing.
A special highlight this year was the Horticultural Happy Hour, co-hosted with Plant Nebraska. The strong turnout and relaxed atmosphere created an outstanding networking opportunity for everyone involved. It was great to see growers, contractors, designers, suppliers, and industry partners connecting outside of the formal conference setting. Events like this reinforce the value of our professional community and remind us that beyond the daily demands of our businesses, we are part of a supportive network that shares knowledge and works toward common goals.
As spring gets underway, I want to wish each of you a successful, productive, and safe season. This time of year brings long days and full schedules, but it also brings tremendous opportunity. May your teams work efficiently, your projects run smoothly, and your businesses continue to grow and thrive. The work you do enhances communities across our state, and that impact should not be overlooked.
I look forward to gathering again later this summer for our Summer Field Day. This event provides another excellent opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment, tour facilities, share ideas, and spend time together as an association. I hope you will make plans to join us as we continue building momentum throughout the year.
Thank you again for your commitment to the Nebraska Nursery and Landscape Association and for your ongoing involvement. Your engagement is what keeps our organization strong and thriving.
Sincerely,
Lee Olson
